Giclee Fine Art Reproductions
Epson 1400 Wide Format Printer ( 6-color permanent dye-based inks ) Giclee Prints ( pronounced gee clay' ) are high-resolution, archival inkjet prints. Giclee is a French word that means "to spray". A giclee printer is different from your home inkjet printer because it uses 6-color permanent dye- based inks instead of 4-color non-dye inks. These are museum quality fine art reproductions on 100% rag paper, estimated to last 98 years without fading when displayed behind glass and out of direct sunlight. I tested one of my first prints I did on Fredrix Print Canvas and put it under a running water faucet and found out that the colors were waterproof and did not run ! After the canvas dried, it didn't alter the print quality one bit - this test sure made a believer out of me.
Specifications of my printer:
These prints are NOT mass produced. They are made one at at time by me, the artist. I spend a considerable amount of time, ink and paper creating proofs until I am happy that the prints are the best possible match to my originals. Standard sizes for most artworks are 8"x10", 11"x14", 11"x17", 12x 16" , 12x18" and 13"x19" (this size may vary slightly). Prints can be purchased online using the shopping cart. To order a print, click on the thumbnail image of the artwork you are interested in, and you will find sizes, prices and an Add to Cart button for each option. Shipping: Great care is taken in packaging the prints so they arrive in good condition. Prints are shipped via U.S. Priority Mail (2-3 days) and U.S. International Priority Mail (usually takes longer and depends on location) with insurance and delivery confirmation. All prints are custom made to order, so in addition to shipping time, please allow 5-7 working days for creation of paper print and two weeks for creation of canvas prints (canvas prints must dry for a week before varnishing, and several days after varnishing). Shipping is calculated at the time of purchase based on estimated weight. Amounts in excess of actual shipping cost will be refunded but there will be no extra cost applied for overage. I hand sign all of my originals and prints. Some of my Giclee prints from acrylic, watercolor and oil paintings are limited editions, and are numbered and accompanied by a "certificate of authenticity" and also "About the Artist" bio. All photographic prints are signed but are not limited editions. Differences in computer monitors, scanners and printers may cause colors of images viewed online to be slightly different than the original art or print. My prints go through a rigorous proofing process to ensure the closest possible match to my original art. I reserve all copyright and reproduction rights to all my originals and prints. My Giclees are professionally printed on stretched canvas and are beautiful in appearance. This process allows a buyer to purchase (at a reduced price) a quality, archival print that can be framed and hung with the appearance of an original painting. Professionally printed on canvas wrapped around 12 X16" stretcher bars and ready to be framed (or without framing). Because these giclee prints are on canvas they do not have to be framed and/or matted and placed behind glass. Each canvas print is signed by the artist.
